Need I say more?

I just love this picture of Gillian. I could just eat her up!!!

You really cannot even tell that we struggled to get an outfit together. The braids were the perfect touch. We just added a neckerchief to a white shirt, jeans and boots. Viola!!!

Gillian shares the love of horses with her Nana Orton and seeing her dressed like this just melted my heart and I am sure her grandma will love this picture. I do hope that one day Gillian will be able to care for and ride a horse of her own.

The Zoo – Spring Break

It was a real treat to make it back to the CM Zoo during our break. We hadn’t been in a year or so, and certainly had not seen the awesome new Colorado Wildlife Exhibit. It was amazing!!! I love our zoo. It was a wonderful day with precious friends.

Bowling – Spring Break

I really enjoyed my time with the kids during this break. I am really hoping that our summer will be just as fun. After a day at the zoo we went bowling with other friends. Wii Bowling really does seem to help! hehe! I love to watch Gillian bowl…she goes up there, throws her ball, spins around and runs back to us. She does not even look to see how she did. Some how, Hayden won but they all had a good time!

Spring Snow Bunnies

When you live in Colorado you expect to play in the snow during the Winter. However, if Spring tries to edge Winter out naturally we Coloradan’s tend to get a bit testy. It was looking like Spring was winning the battle, all through March. However, good ole Winter saved one or two tricks for April and we all got our “snow” and “Winter” fix.

So many memories of my “Snow Bunnies” playing until they have used up every bit of energy. Coming in sopping wet with cheekies all red and peeling all the layers of clothes off. Ready to sip hot chocolate to warm their bellies. I absolutely love those days. Thank you God for giving us a few more snow days. Now, I can welcome Spring with all my heart!

A Look Back at Hayden

This week, I have been trying to catch up on all of the things I have wanted to blog about – (jot down so I will remember). While doing that I ran into some pictures that just brought me tears of joy. I had to bring them out and share them. These little people sure can make you realize that our Creator is amazing.

Lost Without My Camera

It has been about two weeks since I destroyed yet another camera, yes this IS number three! Ugh….the ONE time I do not use my wrist strap I drop it with the lens out!!! I really wanted to drop to the floor in the fit of a tantrum when it happened…BUT, I didn’t. The worst part is that Hayden (aka Camera buff extraordinaire) is ALWAYS reminding me to use my wrist strap so you can imagine the lecture I got. ;-)

Hayden and Kip have been looking around to see if there is a point and shoot camera that is bomb proof, I do not know if they have had much luck or not. I tend to think that I could manage to destroy any point and shoot camera. Ha!

I am very lost without my camera. Those close to me know, I almost always have my camera with me. Humm….it has been about two weeks since I blogged and two weeks without my camera. It is all making sense. My inspiration has been BROKEN!!!

Time of Reflection

I have so many random thoughts today, so much on my mind but not certain what it all amounts to. I love having my blog and I love that so many of my friends now have one, what a great way to stay connected and to record the things on our hearts and in our lives. To jot my thoughts down is therapeutic and I have really missed it. I think sometimes unless I have something fun or encouraging to write, I tend to not.

But, as I sit here waiting for my youngest child to get home from school, I realize that I am anxious. Not about just one thing but about several things. I did get to spend a good amount of time in prayer today for those things that I am aware of but I also thought maybe blogging would help.

Things I am thankful for:

Hope, Grace and Faith (where would I be without this? I shudder to think)
My family (husband, children, parents and sister)
My husbands job.
Our home
Our dogs
Colorado
Friendships
Carpool
Health (good for the most part)
That I am blessed to be at home and not working outside the home
Evenings with my little family

Things that would make me feel better:

Knowing that my children have a relationship with God.
Knowing that my children would come to Kip and I and God with all their concerns.
Knowing that things at school are always good for my kids. It is so hard to send them away each day.
Knowing that we as parents are doing a ‘good’ job. Always can be better, obviously.
Knowing that my children will always have people looking out for their best interests.
That we will get through some of these growing pains really soon.
Prayer for Kip, the kids and me.
