Although his true passion is cinematography, my sweet Hayden still loves photography. It is a passion we could talk for hours about.

We browse many photography websites and love window shopping for camera’s and lenses. So much fun!

A few weeks ago he asked Gillian if she would be his subject for a photo shoot. I was so thrilled with the pictures he took and I must share them.

Hayden’s new passion is short film making, has also produced a short mini-series of videos. His talent increases with each one he creates and I am so thrilled to see him use his creativity.

Getting a little more personal with the amazing camera my precious husband got me for Christmas this past year.

Under the guidance of a professional photographer, I learned a few good pointers. If only I could have him or someone like him at my side all of the time.

I have known enough to be able to “capture the moment” but always wanted more from my photographs. I want to be able to capture my family’s personalities in the photo’s that I take. My new mantra: To shoot less “cheese” and capture the story as it unfolds before me.

As mommy’s that is sometimes hard to step outside that box, because our subjects are so stinkin’ cute, right? “Smile for mommy!”

Well, this mommy is going to work on telling our life story in our photographs. I am so blessed to have such fun little subjects to photograph. =)

The Creative Side

I absolutely love it when our children acquire a passion and interest in the things that I enjoy. This year Gillian has really begun to explore the art of photography alongside Hayden and I. Hayden has really learned how to capture his image in a way that tells a story and gives life to his subjects. These are just a few of my favorite photo’s that he has taken of our dogs. It just so happens his favorite subjects are dogs.

Loving My New Computer

If you know me, I am rarely ever without my camera. A few years ago I had gotten serious about my picture taking but rarely did I ever do much with them. I look forward to doing something about that with the wonderful new computer that my hubby got for me. I have been having a lot of fun playing with my photo’s. It is simply amazing how much simpler it is to work with them now!!! Thank you Kipper!!!
